It is with great sadness that the family of Helen Theresa Poidevin of Pawling, New York announces that Helen passed away on Monday, December 4th at the age of 75. She was born in Brooklyn, New York on February 8,1942 to Cornelius and Bridget (Tuohy) Brown.

On September 28, 1963 she married Donald Poidevin at Holy Name Church in Brooklyn, New York. Helen worked as a devoted wife and mother.

She is survived by her loving husband Donald, her children, Donald Poidevin (Rose), Thomas Poidevin, Robert Poidevin (Kelly), Carol Rivera Gaffey, and Richard Poidevin (Antonella), her thirteen grandchildren, Danielle Watson (Bobby), Nicole, Donny, and Jonathan Poidevin, Kaitlyn and Ricky Rivera, Alicia and Thomas Gaffey, Robert, Kayla, and Ryan Poidevin, and Shane and Dylan Poidevin, her four great grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Joseph Rivera and Asher and Naomi Watson, her sister Bridget Corrigan (Joseph), her sister-in-law Mary Brown, and her two dogs, Sherlock and Monster. She is pre-deceased by her parents and brothers Cornelius and Robert Brown.

On behalf of our beloved matriarch our family would like to thank all of the doctors and nurses who cared for her. We would like to thank all friends and loved ones who have extended thier love and support throughout Helen's life and in the days since her passing.

A visitation will be held on Friday, December 8, 2017 from 2-4 and 7-9PM at Balsamo-Cordovano Funeral Home, 15 Church Street, Carmel Hamlet, NY 10512. A Mass will be held on Saturday, December 9, 2017 at 11:00AM at Our Lady of the Lake Church, 1 Doherty Drive, Carmel Hamlet, NY 10512 (off of Noonan Drive).
