Obituary for Ronald A Verlizzo

Ronald A. Verlizzo passed away on October 12, 2018 at the age of 70. He is survived by his beloved wife, Dee, his loving daughter, Lisa and his son-in-law Paul Pippa, and his cherished grandsons, Vincent and Anthony. He is also survived by his siblings Fran, Patty, Alfred and Michael, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was most proud of his service in the U.S. Army. His distinguished service in Vietnam was recognized with numerous medals and honors including the Purple Heart. Ron retired from ConEd after a 39-year career in NYC and Westchester. He was an avid volunteer for the NYC Marathon and was active in a number of community activities. Ron enjoyed traveling with his family, but his trips with his “boys” Vincent and Anthony were particularly memorable to him.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you honor Ron’s memory by remembering his fellow disabled veterans with a contribution to the Disabled Veterans of America (DAV).

A wake will be held at Balsamo-Cordovano Funeral home 15 Church St. Carmel,NY 845-BAL-2144 on Sunday October 14,2018 from 2-6pm. A Catholic funeral mass will be held Monday at St. John Evangelist Church in Mahopac,NY followed by a private cremation.
